YOUR COURSE MATERIALS ARE:
- Everyday TLC Online Monthly Curriculum, a 24-page child development, activity-based, monthly newsletter/curriculum. You are expected to read and use the activities and ideas in the newsletter in your ongoing work with children.
- Eight professional articles, each relating to one of the CDA content areas as does the corresponding test.
- Eight tests which enable you to demonstrate how you integrate your learnings from the newsletter and the articles into your work with children. The questions encourage you to write about and reflect on your everyday experiences in childcare in order to see where you are strong and where there is room for improvement. They lead to you to ways to make improvements as well, using what you have learned in the course.
Each training unit should take you approximately five clock hours to complete. Tests can be kept in a handy folder on your desktop so that they can be taken in the comfort of your home, at your convenience. You can complete each test in one sitting or return to it several times for additions and revisions. All tests are submitted, easily through e-mail at the same time. You have up to 12 months to complete the course and earn your 40 clock hours.
